Stereotool

Post by LAZY » Fri Aug 18, 2017 2:29 pm

Hi Guys,

Does anyone have a copy of 64bit StereoTool for Jack GUI? The website's been updated and the download link is broken, I've emailed the site but still waiting for a response.

This is the file I'm after stereo_tool_gui_jack_64, not really fussed what version it's just for testing a new setup.

Thanks in advance. :tup

You can get previous versions by adding a version suffix to the file name - I think the download page mentions it near the bottom. On my phone now so not easy to try it

I know this is tangential to your question, but if you use stereotool, be sure you use the SSB stereo option when you broadcast in stereo. It reduces the bandwidth of the signal and will make it carry a little farther and also reduce multipath distortion. Multipath can be recognized as a popping type noise as you listen to the station while driving around.

Lazy, you done much with the command line version?

Been trying for ages to get it to process a stream, add RDS/MPX, then stream to my tx via icecast etc.

I think @OgreVorbis knows how to set up an icecast stream.

Here’s an older thread with some info:
