LCD Displays

Post by sinus trouble » Tue Mar 19, 2019 12:14 am

Hello Necks! :)

LCD displays are not a new thing but are quite common in transmitters! I have only vague knowledge on them so
I thought this video may be useful to others who are in the same situation!

I am as stupid as I look! :|

Here's my next design using an LCD, this one is going to be the driver for a large PA. The UART will be connect to another module (add-on option for customer) with a PHY chip for Ethernet and internet connectivity. Or will plug straight into a PC and can be controlled/monitored from there.

Looks good Mr NZ! :)

I find programming fascinating, Equally PICs!!
Most of my experience with LCDs was basic trouble shooting, Generally I found data busses out of my league and just checked for faults like DC supply, back light and contrast etc..
Now being more familiar with Binary and ASCII codes it makes much more sense!
