Who cares? it was unlistenable repetitive crap anyway. They had a single CD that played over and over and over and over.....

PS - 106.5MHz is one of the frequencies being auctioned off by OFCOM at the moment, so any pirate using it isn't going to last!

TBH, Project was something different when it started - they broadcast a wide variety of interesting electronica - not all darnce crap - and a couple of people on there who knew what they were doing. It also had a seriously big signal over most of London. After a while, it went to robot mode, playing a single CD over and over and over again!

I liked project as they was only station pushing new music. When i listen to other stations it feels like i have just stepped out of a time machine, It's always the same old same bate garage and DNB tunes
that i have heard for donkeys years. Even worst is those same old rinsed out tunes have gotten new 2016 remixes.

Believe Virgin Radio would like that dial in London, someone I know is working on their Ofcom application form.

Is it likely to be a more powerful station given 106.5 like say 500 watts plus?

106.5MHz is being allocated for South London - probably at 400W, but there is scope in the application for higher power.

That means that I would easily pick it up in Windsor Great Park also 1066 has been given to a lower power community station in high Wycombe and it also means that it is only going to be .3 away from the 106.2 so that is going to be a first in London excluding the BBC national stations

It would be bigger than 96.9 crap extra and 1073 as well by a long way?

We don't come on to these forums because we are not interested in getting involved in radio politics. But we received a call about these threads talking about 106.5 so we are here to make a one off statement.

Firstly let's be very clear that 106.5 is our dial and it will remain our dial. There is very good reason why no one has taken over our dial even though we have now been off for a length of time. The proper people in the industry know better and if any little radio rats want to try taking our dial they will be dealt with swiftly like others have been in the past. We are not the type of geezas to come chasing people on roofs, if you catch our drift. But please feel free to try if you think we are the type of people that are going to be bullied off our dial.

Music policy - We don't expect most of you to understand or like it. Let's be honest most of you on here still listen want to cheesy commercial garage. See we play a wide spectrum of electronic music including UK garage but the difference is we play true underground dance music. It's not aimed at the masses. We are highly respected in our scene, that's why we have had some of the best quality DJ/Producers from all over Europe on our station. Our djs are playing at top level in clubs like Fabric, gigs in Berlin, Ibiza and festivals. We are not some bedroom djs doing shout outs to our man dem crew. We are grown men not teenagers. Have you seen people just do nothing? This is a program taking the absolute piss out of them type of immature stations and rightly so. It's embarrassing. So no we don't have a phone line, we don't do shout outs and we don't run adverts. This was a management decision because we are focused souly on quality music. We was not scared to break the mold of stereotypes. As for the comments about live shows, this is probably hard to tell sometimes on our station with our lack of talking nonsense. But let us assure you will are live every day other than a Sunday. DJ's are easy to come by now days, every man and his dog thinks his a DJ. But quality that is not easy to find. We could have filled our timetable 10 times over if we wanted to allow the kind of shit quality that most stations take on. This is not about filling timetables and taking £10 subs for us. It's called quality over quantity.

Project is going to be back on very soon. We don't have to explain to you lot why we have not been on, all you need to know is that it's been unavoidable. Again anyone proper in the radio world knows that sometimes challenges are presented too us that can not be fixed over night. He have been on air since 2011 and up until the last year we was one of the most consistant. We was always on and always reaching a wide area, wider than most. This will be the same on our return.

I hope this has cleared a few things up. You lot can continue to talk between yourselves, we are not interested what people think. There is more to life than radio and there is certainly more interesting things to do than wank over radionecks every day.

All the best!

I with you 100% only thing is I heard that 1065 is going to be lost if ofcom licence a community station on the frequency?

We have seen no evidence to back this claim up and it is something we will deal with if it is true. Project London Radio is here to stay regardless of what dial that might be on. We are the only station dedicated to proper underground dance music so it's important for the whole scene that we continue to promote this style of music. We will not let Londons famous dance music culture be lost to yet another pop music or urban station.
