105.1 West London wiping out Heathrow last week...
A station came on 105.1 last week in outer West London/Midsx area.
I could hear it up and down the whole dial right up into the air band and even wiping over the Heathrow tower on 118.500/.700.
A couple of hours later it was off, hardly surprising really.
....Anyway the video clip's are to follow shortly.

There are some real wankers selling rigs these days. They haven't got a clue (or an analyser).
"Why is my rig humming?"
"Because it doesn't know the words!"

This is not aimed at 105.1 but for others sprogging I can be certain Its those dirty rig thieves, they buy those shit exciters from jpl995 on ebay and stick them into stolen rigs. Some amps only require a few hundred miliwatts and they stick 1watt of shite up its arse thinking they are getting full power out the other end, overloading the shit out of it. Somebody come onto my frequency a while ago so I dealt with the matter. I found their so called transmitter. It was a N box without a lid, it had one of those ebay exciters wrapped in celotape with audio cable connecting the rf to the amp and he exciter was sitting ontop of the amplifier, just resting there. Its audio was some 2 core lamp cable running to somewhere I couldnt trace.
It really is shocking albert.

Well a station has returned on 105.1 this morning playing 97 garage in stereo.
Iam out and about in the work van and done various drops over parts of west and listening to both the van stereo and Icom R2500 but no interference to the tower.
Might not be the same thing but I'll keep listening!

I'm hoping they themselves realised the problem, took it straight down and sorted the problem out. When I get the chance I'll have another check later on.
