Stations on autopilot / silent carriers

Post by nrglcb2016 » Sun Jan 14, 2018 9:23 pm

Why do so many stations sit on silent carrier or keep looping the same sets over and over again? Surely its still the same risk as having a live dj . A few new stations on over the last week and not heard a single dj live !

Because it takes a lot longer to get noticed on the dial now days. Has to be on for months before it starts to build up.

Although I don’t get why people sit on silent for weeks on end. Can’t care that much about their station/equipment if they can’t even be bothered to play some tunes.

Some get taken off, come back on and still stay silent.
