Getting onto the roof of some buildings can be a problem if the elevators and stairs require a swipe card or RFID. Not so difficult if you have the fire service elevator key, and apparently a lot of them are generic so the fire service doesn't have to stuff around with hundreds of keys for multiple buildings in an emergency. Use it to stick the elevators in phase 1 fire service mode and they will all return to the lobby with doors open, then you insert the key inside one of the elevators to enter phase 2 which gives you manual control, have to hold the door close button until the doors close then you can take it upto the top, once at top the same again hold the door open button until they open. The fire service key can sometimes unlock hidden control boards in the elevator and get you to floor numbers that don't exist on the normal panel.
