No the boostconverter is giving 12v for the modulator and the audio output of the usb soundcard to the audio input of the modulator
so you need
usb sound card 192khz
DC-DC boost converter
Gunn modulator
Box to put it al in
And yes a PC will working better but if you have a PI and using the same USB soundcard it will work also good
My setup with a pi is working without any problems 24/7
when there is no audio or stream connection the pi restarts the playlist until it gets audioon the output

That's why I was asking earlier. You're using a £60 pc, you've got your microwave gear probably costing around the same (if you're lucky), plus a £10 DAC board. Your PC's streaming audio and doing stereo multiplexing and RDS encoding. I'm guessing that in your setup, you're also doing processing and scheduling on it, and having your presenters stream into an icecast server also running on this box. If you need to do the latter at your midpoint, then I can see why you've gone for a PC.

On the subject of the Pi though, the model 3 has enough grunt to easily play a stream and do stereo and RDS encoding on it, and output the multiplex via a DAC (the popular PCM5122 ones cost around £12 these days). This would all set you back a shade over £40. Having it co-located with your main rig, assuming you've got wifi available, costs in, removing the microwave gear from the equation. The Pi will also enable you to do remote control and telemetry. Absolute bargain.

I think I can hear this station weak on 94.15 but there's really strong Reggae on 94.4.

Lots of Albanian station interference wiping it out today, up and down the band too.

cheers for clearing that up new i was not hearing things

i was picking 94.2 up in herts crystal last week .

94.2 has been getting weaker day by day for the past few weeks,
It's around 9db lower than it was in late november early december.
Possible antenna fault as from there location it should be alot stronger.

Been getting it crystal for ages no change in the signal here in Dartford.

Was coming back from Union on new years day morning, scanned around some pirates got 94.2 on my mates car, got it just before Bexleyheath and signal got stronger around Dartford and much stronger when we hit Chatham.

Hmmmm.... That's strange, is it only me that's having trouble with TF Lives site ?
