Local radio station keeps getting hijacked by song about masturbation
I think Ofcom are a bit upset about this:

This is piss funny and reminds me of the barrage of music/abuse that could be heard on various analogue business repeaters a few years ago when those cheap Baofeng handheld rigs flooded the market.
There's a post about this elsewhere on this forum, and one of the news articles is saying that kids who've heard it happening are humming the tune. Lol.

Does anyone remember the singles by "Judge Dread" in the early 70s? The first one was "Big Six", then "Big Seven", "Big Eight" - they were lewd versions of nursery rhymes over a reggae backing. This guy had 11 hit records in the 70s - all were banned by the BBC - and was the first white artist on Trojan Records. He was a more successful reggae artist than Bob Marley!! These records provided some great ammunition for jamming local radio!
During the 80s miner's strike, several BBC local stations were replaced with "Radio Arthur" during their news reports. A couple of the Judge Dread tracks and a couple of Ivor Biggun tracks were regularly used by Radio Arthur - after all, we needed something to keep us amused during that period!

"Why is my rig humming?"
"Because it doesn't know the words!"

Funny but Mansfield 103.2 must be rank shitebags to be having this happen in the first place. You would think ofcom would just laugh at them and make them get a proper studio link, every bored kid with a 5 watt will be jamming them until they sort it out and ofcom are the ones that'll have to go out detectoring them. Poor ofcom!

I've heard a couple of them judge dread songs in the past.. Didn't know who or what they were at the time but that actually fills in the blanks for me!

I rarely disagree with Albert... not even on non-radio stuff, but Judge Dread a more successful reggae artist than Bob Marley??? - surely not???!

Incredibly, yes! Judge Dread had higher Chart positions and bigger sales in the UK than Bob Marley. I couldn't believe it either when a friend pointed out this bizarre fact a week or two ago!4therecord wrote: ↑Sun Jul 16, 2017 1:55 pm I rarely disagree with Albert... not even on non-radio stuff, but Judge Dread a more successful reggae artist than Bob Marley??? - surely not???!
