Here's is one sitting on my desk, what exactly were you wanting to know about these boards? I have all the info on them, Albert H has also posted a lot of detail about these boards in various posts on the forum.

I suppose you don't have access to a scope?

It wont be the 4059, that's the freq divider. When its in lock, eg 100MHz, RF is sampled from one half of the oscillator and because its a half freq oscillator that sample will be 50MHz. The sample goes into IC4 where its divided by 4, so 12.5MHz, from there it goes into the 4059 IC5 where its divided again depending on the freq set on dip switches. If 100.0 MHz is set it get divided by 1000, if 102.2MHz is set it gets divided by 1022, 88.3Mhz is 0883 and so on..... So that means the 12.5Mhz from IC4 = 12.5MHz divided by 1000 = 12.5KHz, and IC2 divides this again by 2 so = 6.25KHz. IC1 divides the crystal 6.4MHz by 1024 which also = 6.25KHz. Both IC2 and IC1 feed into IC3 where they are compared and the error voltage generated.

If you have a voltmeter, check the voltage on the emitter of TR1, it should be around 3.2v when in lock. I would also be looking TR11, 12, and 13 - if these are faulty, it will not lock and the lock/unlock LED's could be doing anything.

Have you checked that the trimmer is solid to the solder underneath .Or could be the trimmer is not giving you full swing .double check that if not double check all your solder joints .

Have you checked the actual LED itself works?

NO!!!

The HEF4059 is a slower "ordinary" CMOS part and has a maximum input frequency of about 1MHz. The part that you MUST use is the 74HCT4059 - this has a maximum input frequency of around 20MHz

Sorry, been sleeping and got up to freezing cold winters morning! Looks like Albert has the answer to your pll pro3 problem! Replace the 4059 with the proper part.

Yes that will work, looks like it supports upto 32MHz

Thanks but what i guess that is weired lets say 87.50 the lowest frequency band , coming from half oscillator and then to flip flop prescaler 74als74 then enter to FIn of the 74hc4059 then what it will we its value isnt in khz ? If yes so why the hef4059bp version not work.
