Antennas and radiation patterns

Post by piraterx » Sun Jan 13, 2019 4:30 pm

hi i have heard other members on here talk about antennas which have VERY LITTLE or NO radiation directly below them.

Can someone tell me which ones these are? Anything from 1/4 to 7/8 ?

Thanks in advance!

Pretty much any antenna with a ground plane has little radiation below itself. The easiest to build and match is the ¼-wave. Get a copy of the ARRL Antenna Handbook and scale some 2m (144MHz) aerials to the 3m band!
"Why is my rig humming?"
"Because it doesn't know the words!"
