Good on em for putting something back on 87.5. Let’s hope it lasts.
Just out of interest, how far west is this new station getting?
I tried from very high ground near Gloucester, but nothing. Is it making it as far as Swindon? Like years ago.

Re: 87.5
Shame it’s gone. It was Wednesday night I tryed.
Let’s hope it was them that switched off and not ofcom taking it down. It was an engineer test tape on the stream, so maybe just a short test.
If 87.5 is a no go, why not try 87.6? Not much in it, but at least not exactly on the edge of the band.

Re: 87.5
interesting is it just the band edge they don’t like? guess they could just go up 0.1, suppose it would 0.1 away from an rsl channel

Birdlip? I remember getting a blank carrier up there on 87.5 coming back from a work trip to Warwick, but I wasn't sure it was a real signal or a spike from something in the car. At the time it could've either been Raw or Faze from Southampton, if it was real.tokingmenace wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2019 8:17 pm Good on em for putting something back on 87.5. Let’s hope it lasts.

As it's been mentioned about signals from certain stations getting out to Bristol, here's my experience:
I know UKs Finest used to get out a long way, I had it on a really crap Sony Walkman radio over a huge distance coming back from Suffolk once. I can't remember where it faded out, but long before we got back to Bristol. I didn't have a decent radio set up at the time though, so couldn't say if/when/how it was possible to hear it out this way at all.
Sub Zero or whatever it was called used to be very clear on the hills around Horton (near Yate), but only on the radio in my mates van, and not on the Tecsun which didn't get it at all in exactly the same spot. I did hear it using the Tecsun up on Lansdown near Bath, very weak tho.
UK Raw used to just clear the top of the noise floor on my SDR regularly during tropo. Other London pirates do come in during tropo though. I've had Point Blank, Vision, Pulse and even Kool, all very weak mostly. I did briefly hear Raw on a car radio during the summer one year, heading Gloucester way, but not solid in the slightest, it was probably e's or tropo bringing it in again.

Yep,
We will have to wait and see if it makes a return.
Maybe try from a different location and see if I can get it

If you take into account the fact that IFM stood for "Innocence FM" then there's been a station with that name on and off almost constantly for quite a while now.
