It is due to no one listening over freeview, its caused a bit of pain both my parents use it to listen, my mum struggles with anything technical, I put tunein on she dosen't how to use it, she may have to go back to using a transitional radio seems abit like going backwards. I never thought i’d see the day when they’d switch off a digital platform before fm stations, some of the stations will still be transmitted on fm.

Buy them an Amazon Echo. They're cheap enough these days, the audio quality is reasonable, and it's easy to tell your Mum to ask the device "Alexa, play XYZ.FM"!
