Hi I have a 300w pa with a blown chip but I can't source another one for a good price. Anyone know any other chip I could use in place of it ? Thanks

Check the output power and working voltage.
Compare the datasheets for these devices:
BLF183XR, MRF151G, MRF6V2300NB, MRFE6VP6300H, SD2932
BUT, its not just simple replacement, one instead the other! Best thing is to buy another BLF278 if You have amplifier designed for that device.

Out of all those listed the MRF151G is the only drop-in replacement. SD2932 is similar but in a lot of circuits it goes unstable so steer well clear.
Enigma also have MRF151Gs

@Analyser.
Off course. I told him that its not simple exchange device-for-device, but IMHO there is one simple and only solution.
Either he will buy it, or not!
