what is this station, I know that it is dutch, it is really strong on a night, I just found it funny last night he was sending a shout out to Nigel, there was someone on here with that name. Anyway you could hear everything he was saying, it was in dutch so you couldn’t understand it, apart from when he was talking about Nigel I liked the old eurotops that was playing on 1629 the other night too, 8-) the polka that is coming over desi radio too. It is quite sad in away in the uk, lot of the people who used to set up pirates didn’t bother after the year 2000.

I listed to it too. Except 1656, here were others on 1611, 1620, 1629 all Dutch apparently.
In the UK the scene was - as I understand - different.
Now there are only a few listeners and there may be legal consequences.
In Europe, while the listeners are also not many, there are hardly any legal consequences making the hobby worthwhile for those attracted to it.

1656 is definitely one of the stronger ones along with 1630, funny how we all show a different frequency all those
not quite fully stable rigs. They come in well at the moment high SFI lots of sun spots facing us at the moment
helps all those hops even the short ones.

Nigel might be the MW Dutch pirates blogger, he seems to know as much as there is to know about them.

The more we listen the more they will be on, at least some one is still bothering with real pirate radio.

I am sure they have clocked our enthusiastic posts on Radionecks as well given the numbers reading them.

Main times are evenings UK time 7pm onward, remember clocks go forwards on Sunday though, as soon as the sun sets that is a good time to start listening. Mornings you will not hear much.

Main evenings seems to be Sat and Sun but might be something on this evening not sure. Nothing heard yet this evening.

Yes you should be ok to hear them given decent conditions anywhere in the UK.

Nothing on 1656 so far, but the Dutch on 1638 with German folk/polkas is audible right now although the signal is weak and often fading, it usually gets progressively better and goes off air around 11pm GMT.

Right now I can hear the "usual Dutch" on 1611 & 1620 playing pop and the mentioned above on 1638 - then the music 1638 went quiet and the same music was heard on 1629. Nothing on 1656, reception from the Gatwick area(Surrey), on a Roberts RD25 - the ferrite rod antenna is sufficient but for better sound I use an active antenna.

Evening, yes 1612, 1622, 1636, and 1656 I can hear, they seem to be the strongest overall I hear those on the ferrite rod Sony
in the south east here. Not very clear right now though. As with most skip some days better than others.

1636 stromgest and sounding quite good at the moment some kind of 50's cowboy style song with harmonica

heard him play albatross at 19:50 last saturday, not heard that song except for in my own collection, i’ve not heard him since then, seems to gone abit quiet, 8-) maybe lighter evenings, not the mad stuntman but the mad dutchman  , I could hear something around 1683 at the sametime, but couldn’t tune to it because it wasn’t on the 9khz spacing.

I heard alot last saturday, he played the original of Cambodia, sounded like some Jean Michel Jarre, went on for ages had no fades, think it would of been strong enough for autoseek tunning to lock on to it. I also heard others on 1647, 1636, 1629 was the other strong one the others had decent fades, it was also still daylight about 18:50, Saturday is a good time to listen. He is on again tonight the fades aren't as good, I heard pretty woman
