Seems to be the same site too. The only real issue they had recently was that the stream they were using for the FM was buffering a lot. Fine now.

Kool is now in stereo.
Re: Kool london
Yes i heard them today sounded good not a great signal though also origin had a good signal from luton to swanley and then back through essex to the m1 from the m25 it was clear throughout they must be on a good site and power. Londons spoilt for choice for pirates still its unreal! Also alot of really good sound quality

Re: Kool london
The stereo is a bit hissy for me, despite the fact 94.6 is thumping in here. I don't get that with Select in stereo.

Re: Kool london
I don't understand why any station would bother with stereo, the audio difference is negligible, just puts hiss across signal over distance. Most modern tuners don't have a mono button, so you cannot get rid of it either
Re: Kool london
Im pretty sure they just want it to sound good local as there not getting out very far anyway. I moved from london in 2007 and kool was by far the biggest station and signal and audio now they are the worst so im sure they just on for the sake of it really they gave up years ago and now there on auto pilate which os such a shame as kool fm is londons most iconic station they should of left on a high.Lordunderground wrote: ↑Tue Jul 25, 2017 12:59 pmI don't understand why any station would bother with stereo, the audio difference is negligible, just puts hiss across signal over distance.
