TMCR transmitter off air

Post by radionortheast » Thu Aug 08, 2024 9:41 am

I’ve been getting silence most of the morning on 107.5 frequency, I can’t hear 95.3, don’t know if it is going out throught both transmitters. I’ve heard silences before on other community stations, also techical problems. The epworth transmitter is quite a long way from the main transmitter, which makes it possible to hear on a radio with narrow filtering, really only in car transmitters use it, there are not many other stations that use it across country making it clear. It is not that strong, interestingly the audio is lower that other stations. I’ve kept my radio on listening, the transmitter has now been switched off 9:30 am, so someone must be there.
A few years ago the operator came on another forum, didn’t like people trying to recieve outside of the area, so I don’t think its ever been intended to be heard outside of the area.

If anyone was wondering this came on air about 50 minutes later, quite interesting to catch a lot of the time I don't listen to my fm radio or tune about at all, there was increase in volume when it came back, the audio is the same as it was before.
