air 107.2 weymouth closing
A community station, interesting reading about this posted on the fm death watch thread, the owners posted a message on facebook. Adverizers couldn’t be got by the sound of it to cover the monthly costs, needed 6 only got 3, costs about £800
a month to keep it going. It already in debt, dj’s paying a sub to get on air, people may do that at other comunnity stations. https://forums.digitalspy.com/discussio ... thread/p34

Suppose someone might beable to set up a mini jukebox, but a risk if on the same frequency and also from the same place. I suppose it maybe a risk been on any frequency were a community station is based.
Lucky we didn’t have any rsl’s here, the closet one was a training one, they even told me about the tx, they were burning the celling down with 1w. There does seem to be more community stations now, they have started to encroach into the area, none are based here they like to put relays up outside their area so they can listen on a car radio..
I suppose theres noway to find out weather cm stations have more listeners on fm than online, no rajar is availble, not everyone has internet, its one of ways they say they need to be on fm I guess.
The cost is high lets face it, if its a bunch of guys paying subs to be if they want to do that its up to them, if its made up of people from past IIR, local radio stations I don’t know who its cathering for I can't see how its catering for a minority.
I do know someone who doesn’t have internet, they listen to a lot of stations on dab, say its much better than fm, sad situation I suppose we're the government doesn’t want people to have a good quality of life, I suppose theres your answer.
