On my Xmas travels my local pirate much to my surprise seems to be getting out +/- 12 miles each side of there rough location which I obviously won't be saying anything about. Quite surprisingly that. Was a good listen on my travels in the car. Spreading the Xmas cheer on the dial.
Hope Xmas doing ok where you are.

The dial is Glowing 88-108 , spin the wheel to light those Red LEDs , see signal needle rise.

Always nice to hear. It's not all doom and gloom on the free radio front.
Still a good amount of stations running a 24/7 service and a few popping up over the holiday season.

Re: Bit cryptic but local pirate not so local
I do have a secondary signal a bit lower down the dial by 1.4 mhz. But it is not getting through local noise in my listening chill out zone.
A shame can only get it in 1 spot exactly in the another room here with antenna gymnastics and extentions, and that was with a cut off strip of silvered bubble wrap acting as the second side of a dipole giving some extra gain, "Ghetto GAIN TM" 3db according to the radio meter. If you insulating tape a small 75cms wire off the back of a tecsun as close to the screw for the telescopic antenna it does act as a signal booster in many cases, makes it like your portable has a full dipole.
entertaining myself with anorak receiver bits. It all helps drag em in I suppose.
