Drove around Manchester today and unfortunately their was just a dead carrier on 101.4 but it was solid from the M62 summit (Yorkshire Lancashire border) through to almost Chester. Very impressive. They must have a high site!

I heard the blank carrier today, too, so hope things are OK.
Was heading to Burnley yesterday, and received the signal in various areas on the way, so I agree, they must have a real nice TX site.

There's some seriously good places to put a transmitter around there.

That would be nice but I wouldn't be the one who climbs it!
...I can pick up 101.1 Classic FM at my house and I live on the Sussex coast.
Some great hills around there, I picked up a couple of London pirates a few years ago on a hill around there called Mam Tor in the High Peaks.

Mam tor sounds nice.. Never been there but heard of it, sounds like a place for a summer day out with the binlids, our lass and a handheld radio..Mmm.

101.4 has modulation again, and they're playing some real decent stuff.
Power seems higher, too, as I've been receiving it a little further North in Lancashire around Blackburn.

Looks like the audio on 101.4 has disappeared again. Station on 87.5 playing assorted dance podcasts.

Yeah, 101.4 is no mod again. Real good stuff played last night.
Hearing 87.5 very powerful in Ashton-U-Lyne. Tunes pretty good, but audio quite flat.
100.7 usual flea power signal in Ashton-U-Lyne.
This has probably been the most activity in Greater Manchester since the 90s and it's very welcome, so long may it continue.

Listened to 101.4 again yesterday as you said with modulation. Interestingly it's listenable in Rochdale not so much through the Pennines but then strong again going into Huddersfield. Very odd!

Just heard that Love NRG have switched off until the problem with the other station on 101.4 sprogging all over the dial has been resolved.

Love NRG and Innov8 are both off air presently..
Wonder how all this is going to pan out?
Hopefully Innov8 haven't opened up a can of Worms. Lol.
