Like i already stated its called Speedcore or Terrorcore a really weird genre of music, check youtube out its played at some ridiculous speed, who the fuck makes up this shit ? I cant say I ever heard it on Fm radio before Until of late from 98.3, i'm guessing it originated from somewhere in Europe like Germany. Not quite sure what audience it would bring to listeners in London / Essex though, so it does seem a strange 1

Yeah it's been around for years and been shit for even longer! How anyone can listen to this by their own choice goes way beyond me and I'd hate to imagine what kind of drugs you'd have to be under the evil influation of.
There's an obvious reason why we never hear this awful nonsense on the radio, because no one wants to hear it!!
It's not music it's just a mess.

What are they even suppose to be doing, ever since they switched on all they've done is caused harmonics and splatter. They leave the rig on for weeks on end completely fucked with audio cutting out every 5 seconds and humming like they have 240v connected to their audio input. And then there's the music..... If your lucky enough to catch it on and working.

I like it this is without drugs. I have listened to some speedcore, gabba etc at 200,300 bpm its fucking mental its a German/Belgian style of music, they have always been strange but always different. I listen to J core as well, that all sounds like ridge racer music on acid but you got to admit even if hardly no one likes speedcore its better than the same shit garage station playing 2 step girly shit like choclate balls, with a little bit of luck or just a CD on repeat of Pure Garage which seems to clog up dials.

I see from back earlier in this thread someone said this station is run by squat party people, this is the sort of stuff they play. I have been to one or two and yeah you do see some fucked up people with needles hanging out their arms but the music is fookin banging breakcore is also something I like. I have someone on my FB who mashes up TV show themes and put them into breakcore tunes "meanwhile jerry has taken an angle grinder to his crucible slag" BANG BANG BANG BANG dirty slag dirty slag BANG BANG BANG

Thought it was German only them crazy guys would make up such a load of weird crazy shit. This Donttest sound like they aint got a clue what they are doing the only thing they know what they are doing is putting out a big signal but thats not exactly hard is it, any guy can find high ground wack a 400w rig up i mean that parts basic you wanna bang out you dont need to be a neck and know exactly what to do until a few weeks later and the rig blows on them, but then there is lot more involvement which is where they seem to be going wrong and is causing problems for them, there is a lot more involvement these days in setting up a radio station than back in 2002 when stations would direct link to the studio which was coming out back of the mixer into a sound processor then to the link box + horn, people that dont know much about the computer / streaming / server etc side of things really should just give up or hire a tech to do it for them because if it aint done right you get whats happening to 98.3 - cutting out, shit audio, skipping music & weird noises (not talking about that weird speedcore shit either) i really cant see this lasting long if it carries on the way it is, the audio is always up and down too.

Hahaha half the time i cant tell if the music actually is skipping or is that fucked up music and how its meant to sound, cant get over the audio are they using 1 of them crap traffic light horns or something. I see some you guys write on here about 918 being a waste of a dial well look no further than 983

I can only listen via the web/tunein as I cant get it on FM where I am so am not aware of the problems they have on the dial. The music is fine for me I can stand it, its good aggression music. Like you say though they seemed plagued with problems or have people who just aint got a clue how to run it but fair play for whacking out far on the FM when indeed they are on and not glitching all over the place. It does make a change for something else being played, I mean some pirates I have heard in the past 5 or so years sound like pop commercial stations! wasnt Rise one playing pop at one stage? remember being Essex way once and I thought wtf is this crap? I tuned past because I thought it was a commercial/community station. Well done to Dont Test for having the balls to play speedcore, breakcore

I doubt that, don't those dodgy traffic light horns only give you about 10% of the audio level before destorting? Don't Test are around the correct Volume so I don't think it's that. From what I gather they aren't even using a link system because if they were I'm sure that would be another fail to add to their many problems on the list.

Yes that's the 1s I have 2 laying about somewhere tested 1 out once some guy gave me it, and you have to have it so low otherwise like you say you go over about 10% and it badly distorts they are also badly flat in audio, thats what made me wonder if they are using 1 but saying that at certain times iv heard their audio decent and loud (before they went off air for a few days) Haha thats true imagine about them linking, it has to a direct job surely.
