And as I'm about to hit post, the 93.7 thing is gone. Someone tuning a rig up maybe

I can confirm that 4Tune FM is indeed still on air on 87.8, just checked. It comes through pretty well on my Roberts portable here in Bermondsey SE1.g33ky wrote: ↑Mon Apr 26, 2021 4:55 pm 87.8 is actually '4Tune FM', https://4tunefm.co.uk/, stream is https://c30.radioboss.fm:18274/stream. I don't know if it's still on 87.8, I'm heading down there this week so I'll do a bandscan.
That makes sense. No logo came up, just the station name, but I've had the same thing even with legit stations. It's probably the same 'PI' code on the RDS as that one stored in the car. There are only a limited number so it's inevitable that there will be some the same.

The list of London stations on this thread still active is astonishing!
I've not been listening for quite a while, as I sold my FM tuner for the HiFi a year or so ago. Just moved to Crystal Palace and have just ordered a very nice Meridian tuner so am really looking forward to scanning around!
Only recently moved back to London from Bedfordshire (never picked any pirate stations up around there since Perception FM went off air years ago).
Hoping that given I'm up here on high land I'll pick lots of stuff up from London / home counties.
Thanks!Polecat wrote: ↑Wed Jun 23, 2021 1:10 amWelcome back to SE London Qwerty Cavalry.Qwerty Cavalry wrote:First post here....
.
You should have some fun tuning in from up there. Im way lower down with an old rotel tuner and external antenna. Sounds lush thro the hifi but, even so, I get more stations when I'm out in my car.
Would be great to hear what you can pick up from home with the extra height.
Height-wise I think you're well above anything in a 10 mile radius and in most directions significantly further than that. Look forward to seeing your report!Qwerty Cavalry wrote:Thanks!Polecat wrote: ↑Wed Jun 23, 2021 1:10 amWelcome back to SE London Qwerty Cavalry.Qwerty Cavalry wrote:First post here....

The tuner arrives early next week so will run through the active list posted on here and see if I get anything extra!
Have also used my scanner a couple of times and picked a couple of HAM's up, along with the airport control towers etc. Seem to be picking things up with ease up here!
