87.9 innov8 WITHIN A SECRET LOCATION

OK uksounds.. There is only a bit of info about innov8 and it's on a thread in here...bit of a mystery innit! "DAB" is swearing in our house and haven't got a dab radio anymore because they only lasted for a year or two and then stopped working on dab but the fm still worked.. Squelch squelch is all I can hear on dab..not for me personally!.

Just heard a Station somewhere local to Manchester identify themselves as "Innovate Radio" or "Innov8 Radio".

This is extremely powerful in Greater Manchester but is on 101.4.

must admit i'm jellous, just stuck with so so aerial in the loft then another outside thats so so, i'm surrounded by houses, still waiting for innov8 to come to life!

I didn't mean my aerial is tuned to 87.9, just got tuned light ont wireless.. I only use lengths of 2x2 fixed together pmsl to get it higher than the house and screw it to 5ft fence post. It does get a bit blowy up ere so I take it down when it's stormy..I bet you get more unlicensed activity ont wireless than I do??

ahh makes sense now, guess so only because i’m closer, i’ve heard 9 pirates over the past few days so I guess thats good going. I used to live on a big hill signals would boom in there. thought thinking about it it hasn’t stopped anything, heard the odd london pirate now again, the strongest ones and heard a station from brimingham.

you could use a reflector behide your dipole get a boost what direction you where looking for. thought i had uk raw on my omidirectional aerial, first for me i’ve always had to use a reflector behide my dipole. would use it in bedroom, its bit stupid just having an aerial in a loft pointing south and there been mostly dead air most of the time.
