SER my neighbour, 120Mt away.
It's a legal station running at 4Kw pointing directly at me

The soldering iron I’m currently using is apparently 60w but it’s struggling to even melt the solder on the ground plane.Should I get a beefier one ?This ones a Chinese temp controlled one By the way.I also have the fat weller iron but the tips F£cked so it’s a bit of a wind up!!

That was the lowest priced one on eBay from all countries but from here in the UK (the same country Bton FM and myself are both at...)

You want one of those dirty great chunky 100w fuckers or a soldering gun....

The weller is 75 watts shall I just replace the tip and use that ?

This is the one I’ve got I’ll have to get a replacement tip although the only ones I can find are the bent one.

If you can undo that screw and slide the tip a lot further down it will make it much hotter.
