The thing is, it is. That's the very antenna you picked up. That's why I said how satisfied I was with the distance.
I think I was using about 150 at the time.

Haha. Well that's good then. You could always get it tattooed on your hand just in case for the future.
Nice videos indeed. One thing springs to mind, Do you actually need a 1K pallet to do arc welding?

If you get close enough, 300w or less is enough...

Yep that was me Le Shark. I was asking about adding the coils and you thought it was me that you'd lent the aerial to.
Another person by the name of North-Mole or something like that offered to post some coils to me for free. As if I was gonna give away my address lol

Best aerial I ever owned Sharky. Wish I bought the 150w version as I melted the 50w one I had lol
Yeah - I leant mine to Bossman for copying purposes. Never saw that again.
But I agree, best bit of kit i've ever used.
I remember talking to someone about converting for higher power, and I think it was a case of changing the matching coils to a higher SWG. Never got round to testing that theory tho.
Lots of Info on the web about the construction of one, so I don't think it'd be too difficult to knock one up as long as you had the correct test gear and patience.
