There's an RSL that's just expired last week here in Manchester, so I'd say they have to be careful all year round.

I wouldn't like to be TX right down there on the dial.

Not all RSL's are even mentioned on the Ofcom RSL listings and some of them are so local to their own area you'd wipe them out because you don't even know they're on!

im getting them crystal clear in brentwood just silent audio, must be another one that is covering a wide area, 87.5 and 87.7 seem to be doing well, it seems to be good to use that part of the dial, i remember when i had a rig on 87.6 i just had it testing on the side of my house, not very high up at all on a single and from brentwood i was reaching erith (kent) and harlow crystal clear, even though harlow isnt a million miles away the part of harlow it was reaching is in a dip and you normally struggle to pick up pirates. Then when i put the rig on a big block in brentwood the coverage was amazing! But every rig i have put on hasnt lasted more than a couple of days lol thats why i give up trying, as the council in my area are a nightmare, i remember we had a rig up on a block in brentwood and it was jacked in 20foot down the bin chute and it went off on a friday morning so i went to the block and went to go on the roof and noticed people up there in hi viz so i left the block and went to the field behind the block to see them on the roof, it was the council and then i went to the bottom of the block where the bin chute is and was listening to them trying to get the rig out, lets say they sounded stressed lol but they were up there a good 3 hours and they managed to get it out. Now all the blocks are locked off, they used to use FB1 AND FB4 locks but now they have big thick padlocks on the doors so the only way to gain access is criminal damage and im not getting nicked for radio. But in my time doing radio from brentwood it was fun, even up on one block in the snow and some mad woman kept coming up to the roof when she herd us up there and called police on one occasion, then after we got friendly with her after she realised we were harmless. the joys of radio, but all in the past for me now.
