So I actually listened all day on Wednesday, in a Tropical induced stupor on a sunbed, and I get why Brians Brain doesn't want this online.
The content is very much "of it's place," - it's like how, when you travelled out of area the pirates sounded different and it took you a while to get in to it. You have to give Brian a good listen to understand the subletys, and it take a while to get your head round it - it's better for a long listen, and for people used to stations set up 20-minute listeners, it's a bit of a learning curve.
If I could listen here in the West Midlands, I'd probably dip in to it occasionally, but it'd be something I'd put on for an afternoon chilling in the garden or whatever. On a normal work day, it just wouldnt be right. This isn't a critisism, and shows that BriansBrain gets his target audience, who are largely relaxing.
The nearest UK equivilent would be Jack. But it's not that either....

A quick shout to the necks from Brian:

Dodgy audio is down to the Retekess V115 recording this in Playa (with a tall building between it and the TX) - doesn't represent the actual quality on air, which is nice nice.

I just heard from a 'reliable inside source' of Brian's birthday! Just back in Ireland for a few days sorting out a few broken links. Back in a few days for a catch up and a belated birthday drink. All the best to Brian from all at Coast

The extra 3 or 4dB has made a heap of difference. I can't imagine my cheap Majority Branded DAB/FM is anything special on receive, but in and around the Servatur Waikiki it's a 3 or 4 bar signal everywhere - as good as anything on the band other than the big SER TX's.
I'm not to have loads of Audio, but will have a good chunk of Tuesday if anyone's interested?

*NOTE* the big SER TX put's put out 4kW into 4 x 3 Element Directional Antennas
Thank's for the info dude
Brian's Elenos is putting out +/- 350W so that's an ERP of 700W out the Dominator @ 210m Above Sea Level
Driving around Brian's southern reception area I have noticed a big difference as in not as much
drop out so it seems to be doing the trick and it's all powered by Solar

I have a couple of decent long recordings to share (including the very rare hour of "Stereo Brian!") - will get them uploaded somewhere and kick off a new thread in the audio forum at some point over the weekend.
