[quote="pjeva"]Also, this LPF which he finally put into design will not do much. COILS IN LPF MUST NOT "SEE" EACHOTHER!!!
That's a common mistake. If you wind one coil clockwise and the next counter clockwise then there's no problem. If you look at his lpf you'll see that they are cw and ccw.. Didn't know this either but is used often when coils are close together to prevent coupling......

Re: Radiomaster 650LE
Well spotted. Even if the coils were in line and wound the same way it wouldn't be the end of the world, at least this version of the radio master actually has a filter so it's is a vast improvement over the previous versions.simon wrote:pjeva wrote:Also, this LPF which he finally put into design will not do much. Re: Radiomaster 650LE
Yes normally the coils must not see each other cause this can make cooping. But here the magnetic field is decresing rapidly function as the distence so it does not matter
I could make them 90° oriented but this will take more place. If I use 4 turm on the same diameter, tem the magnetic field make this situation critical but since there is only 3 trun here in this design i's no matter....

He is ok
But atm not doing any FM transmitters

I'm glad it's good on that side. his work was unique in the world and he should have followed that path with a different strategy.

Re: Radiomaster 650LE
This clown has obviously never heard of capacitive coupling either. The linear "filter" will have a very poor performance irrespective of the winding sense of the coils. To get proper filter performance, the coils need to be actually screened from each other. The low insertion loss filter I've just done has seven coils and twelve capacitors, and each section of the filter is screened from the last. It was instructive to build the filter without the screens the first time - adding the screens won more than 12dB of extra harmonic reduction.UKNECKS wrote: ↑Sat Feb 20, 2016 8:31 pm Yes normally the coils must not see each other cause this can make cooping.
