They will only be untouchable until the H&S survey is completed, after that it's game on...
The place where they are at is run by a multinational company ( without giving anything away ) and it's going to cost ££££ for the operation to take them off, but they will be taken off eventually.
I said this when I first saw it, and spoke to the engineers on the site who knew it was up there but were powerless because of the red tape they had to jump through to get anything done.
I know where it is because I can see it clearly from one of my offices in the area, walk out, look up, and there it is....
IMO - no matter what the drama is with other stations that claim that dial is theirs, that site was a bad choice becuase of the attention it would bring from the authorities. A very good site to TX from!! But in the long run, I believe that the grief they will get from the COM will make them wish they'd chosen another site.. My Opinion!!
