isnt overdrive on 7405, its a dutch station. :whistle
That's Radio Piepzender a legal private station from Zwolle NL. Overdrive was quite strong on 7395kHz, some splatter at times from Piepzender until they turned the mod down a bit.
OK good to know, i think overdrive mite of been off air by the time i checked.. :tup

Tried the other WSM SDR, (there appear to be 2) copyable but fainter. Nothing on Twente, which I still find interesting - leads me to make assumptions about Overdrive's antenna for this band. Also tried a Scottish SDR (can't remember which one now, but nothing heard).
Nothing heard on ground wave (despite my proximity I wasn't sure if I'd pick anything up) and as ever, nothing at all heard on 101.4 apart from the occasional "Smooth" lift, today.
That Twente thing is a mystery because Overdrive could be heard on an SDR in Groningen, but the strongest signal was on an SDR in County Mayo, North West Ireland

I guess I'm going to have to have a swot up on HF propagation modes as what I'm observing doesn't fit with the theory I was taught all those years ago. I know he's on right now as I've just been listening on the Weston SDR I picked him up on yesterday. 24332 if I was going to have a go at a SINPO. However - I tried a bunch of other SDRs just now including Groningen and a couple in Cheshire - nothing on any of them! Couldn't get a connection from the 2 County Mayo SDRs on the Kiwi index page I'm using, which is a shame, and again nothing on Twente which has been my go-to SDR for HF for years.

Fair play to Overdrive for putting something on - it's not trivial. I'll keep trying the Irish SDRs and others, it would be nice to finally be able to hear their content. It's a tough listen on Weston.

Yes it seems weaker today, this is the Irish SDR I was listening on yesterday

What’s that on 99.7 ?
Had it on for a while now but no ident or talking, just non stop music.

I’m guessing it’s not in Liverpool because of Kcr live on 99.8
Anyone getting it over Manchester

Thanks Blackjake - I expect you'll be testing it yourself with the array of SDRs available but please let us know next time you're on after any changes!

It's time they put some of these "stations" out of our misery - they have no listeners and are just clogging up the band, IMO.

Might be a false economy though, if all community stations were turned off here there would be only be 107.3 or 107.4 were you could operate, all other frequencies are abit naff unless they turned off radio 2, classic fm, radio 4, would make alot of difference.

I take your point about community stations in those parts of the band where the nationals hang out! Definitely a couple of others up here though that would be in my crosshairs.
