87.7FM now IDing as RUBY87.7 on both RDS and idents. Mod seems a lot tighter today but could just be the mix on at the time. Idents also seem better mixed in, before they were getting buried in the mix so you could barely hear them sometimes. Not really sure what their going for with the tv/movie character voices though

Yes I agree but definitely a copycat off the great BASE FM down to the choice of programming
I can guarantee won't be on for much longer that it's a RSL frequency ofcum will be out soon

Have you got a photo of this at all?
....I tried the online remote tuner again but unfortunately it only shows P.S & P.I and not R.T.

There was no RT, the PS was being rolled every 4 mins or so - it said "big up the necks!" You'd have had to watch it for a while. It's off air now.

Ahh I see. Yeah well I wasn't expecting it to do it quite like that and just tried it for a few seconds.
...That's a bit of a strange time to go off as it was definitely on last night. I wonder what's happened.
(And speaking of strange I'm now hearing Heart FM weak on that Holmes Chapel tuner on 87.7)

That is strange, I'm fairly close by and not getting it - possibly an image rejection issue on the SDR?

Yeah that's exactly what I was thinking as they are well known for doing this, but seems ok on all the other frequencies so not too sure.

Heart 88.0 will be strong in Holmes chapel from the Wrexham-Rhos transmitter which is on a good hill so really gets out. You have to be careful with the rf gain on those rtl sdrs, there's a really narrow band between too low (static) and too high (intermod). I found the auto setting doesn't work right you have to set it manually

Last week I was picking Ruby up in Runcorn, but nothing in Liverpool - it seems to come in at the bridge. It was fading in and out but very listenable in places and I was getting RDS by the end of the week.
On Friday Radio Waves made an appearance for a couple of hours on 87.7 in Liverpool but there's no overlap of coverage areas at all.
