We'll just have to wait and see, 101.4 was supposedly going to have something else licensed on that but it's been free for a while now.

First of all 1014 was ultra local and I don't think there is much enthusiasm for radio licenses now especially outside London now which not surprising because new people have seen what's happened to ILR stations over the past 10 years or so

There was another ultra local station for Sunbury on Thames called kick it on 1074 that couldn't make it pay either it only lasted about 2 years it closed a few months ago

I wouldn't say On FM were ultra-local as they were licensed for 25w or 50w broadcasting from the roof of the large Citibank tower in Hammersmith, where as Kick-it werre licensed for 25w but only using 12w and broadcasting from a much lower site as they couldn't get planning to get an aerial up any of the Sunbury Cross towers.

Interesting every time I drove into London on fm 1014 only seemed to work about 3 miles around Hammersmith it seemed to be a rubbish freqs anyway

that would be because (as far as i know) on fm 101.4 was licenced for Hammersmith only.

They certainly are and there well might be people wanting to take the channel but it never seems to go well for new stations taking old station's channels?
