Reminds me of when the short lived Don't Test 98.3 was playing Resonance 104.4 recordings.

I think 106.6 carries "Soul Spectrum" which they're keen on relaying for some reason.

At least Resonance, whilst not being my cup of tea, is an interesting idea. North Manchester FM 106.6 on the other hand, is a criminal waste of spectrum and wants taking off. Unfortunately, in common with too many of these self indulgent so-called community stations, they are left to clog up the dial.

Was that Love NRG on 100.7? Anybody know what 87.7 was? I don't see any RSLs for Manchester on the Ofcom list at the moment.

Just had a listen. Dead carrier on 87.7, bit of hum on it. Yes it was Love NRG on 100.7 with a live presenter. Irie FM on 105.8. Had a bit of a scan round, nothing else doing that I could hear.

Just a hunch, but 87.7 could be Innov8. Dead carrier sounds like them, especially the bit about the hum.

You could be right, given that there's very little activity around here at the moment but I'm not so sure - last time they did it up here, they were on 101.4. It was bloody strong where I am too, this thing on 87.7 is a bit on the weak side.

I thought that Legacy was on 90.1?

....Used to be called Peace FM from Old Trafford, Hulme area.

You're right, Peace FM is now called Legacy. I thought it came from Moss Side, don't know what I based that on, I think they did a couple of RSLs in the day and it was booming in. So assuming it's in the same place, it's on the other side of Hulme from Old Trafford.

Teck and Shuffy you're right. LegacyUK is a pirate though, predominantly a Bank Holiday station these days and plays a much more different genre of music from the legal Legacy.

Ahh no worries it all got a bit confusing for a moment. So this Legacy UK is it the same station I used to receive around 5 or 6 years ago on 87.5 or 87.6 on a Bank Holiday? I heard (without saying too much) that's it's from quite far north out up past Bolton etc, if it's the same thing?

New station has appeared in Manc tonight on 101.4, poor audio but very good signal.

This is also booming into Rochdale tonight, extremely strong as you rightly say.

Audio flat but I like the tunes.

101.4 still on this morning, so could this be another 24/7 station...

Just heard them identify themselves as "innovate radio" 5 minutes ago, or if not, it sounded very similar.

This is 100% Innov8 Radio as they identified much clearer this time.

As stated on another thread, is this a guy or group of guys driving up and down the Country setting up? Lol.

They seem to be popping up here, there, and everywhere and on different frequencies.

I'm off to the north west tomorrow out to Liverpool. I'll see how strong it is all over!

I've been from Rochdale to Bury and then to Ashton and this station's coverage is phenomenal unlike the weak Love NRG that I can only receive in high altitude areas.

It wouldn't surprise me if this Innov8 has all the North West blanket covered.

Please tell us how it goes on your travels..
