I plan to put something up over the Bank Holiday weekend.. Any of you lot interested in Streaming in ?? I'm not interested in Genre, just want to do something different.
I wasn't going to say anything but i'd like to have some decent talent on there for the weekend, and I don't believe in doing things last minute.com. No other help required, I have all the gear ready and have tested. This will be a N LDN thing only due to frequency ( may get further, but will piss a legal or two off!! ) If you're interested PM me.. I will delete this post in two weeks..

North London has their own Crapital Xtra for north so coming on 0.1MHz lower than the south London Crapital from north shouldn't hurt too much, but obviously never recommended.

At one time there were 2 separate stations for north and south does anyone remember north Londons legal WNK station then choice at that time was only south London on 96.9

I don't think they even gave it a thought when they named it anyway it was on 1033 from 1989 till 1994 when their licence was revoked

According to Wikipedia apparently London Greek Radio has been on 103.3 since 1989.

Yep, Sharky is definitely a dreamer. The gimp has neva dun raydio in his lyf. I mean, it's not like he used to do some work behind the scenes for a station you and Kaz played on 4 years ago...

Not like i've setup over 5 stations over my period of radio time, including my own which had a very nice run until I stepped away and it fell on it's face...
Would have expected more from you Fuze, but it's cool... Maybe I should've kept quiet and just put it on but I thought i'd give some of the ' residents ' here, a chance for some input; Silly me!!

LGR used to come from a trading estate just off Seven Sisters Road until they moved offices and the TX was put at Alley Pally with Kiss and Crapital Extra.
Dial has been sorted for years!!
It is the best for my purposes... It's already mentioned in the post by someone else who's on the ball

Nope. Kiss has always been at Crystal Palace (at least since they went "legit") and sold out. Ally Pally had WNK/LGR - now just LGR - and Crapital Extra.
Interesting fact: Crapital Extra and Kiss are seen by the advertising agencies as broadcasting to an audience with no money - the "kids" and the "ethnic minorities". They can't GIVE away advertising time on those stations - they have to do a "bundle" deal with Capital, and they throw in the 100MHz and 107.1MHz adverts for nothing. Both stations are losing pots of money, but are baled out by their American parent company - "Clear Channel" (a Fox subsidiary).
Incidentally, it's illegal under the UK licence rules to own a UK radio station from "offshore", but Crapital, Heart and all the Galaxies get away with it. I wonder who gets paid off?
