news in 87.9 is active again but has been silent from since saturday afternoon..... what a waste of air space only means will be out in action soon

Maybe not. Looks like Manchester 101.4 is back on air.

Hopefully 101.4 is all it's going out on around Manchester now and they went off to sort the problem....

What are they doin now? No audio again.. Sounded ok earlier so i can't imagine what they're doin now.. I have to admit it's very interesting what they're doing all over England.. Respect to the innov8 people..

Still quiet on 87.9..I can only imagine that they're having trouble with the linking system, maybe the stream device keeps running out of juice and not charging at all...Come on innov8 I've only got 1700 tunes on me card and I've listened to em all..And ya know what ilr is like and radio one play kids stuff up until midnight..

Just arrived in Leeds for work , 87.9 dead carrier . Weird feedback sound .1 each way either side aswell

Probably the RDS level is too high.

some one must not be monitoring this station.... 87.9 has been in silence from yesterday afternoon..... everyone seems to be asking where they are coming from .....

i think all stations have that weird clashing noise when their running rds, I hear it now when I tune off frequency from radio 3, its one of the reasons I don't like rds! and also the fact it won't id a weak station unless the level is too high..

I hear 101.4 in Manchester is just dead silence too...

The silence is normal for Innov8. When they came on in Bristol in 2014 they were silent from Saturday to Thursday the first week. It will drop out and come back a lot.

Seems like a big waste to me. If currently not live streaming over to it at least play some mixes or back to back tunes saved on the computer and keep it rolling....

Well it seems someone has been up a great height and sorted the audio..bout time..I was gonna go n find it and plug me phone in and play some choons until someone sorted it..

Agree... well, almost. If you're going to go to all that trouble and expense, you want live shows on there. I've never heard any live content on Innov8, just pre-produced stuff that repeats every couple of days, and silence. Every on-air minute of dead carrier or repeated content is a minute closer to being taken off, with nothing gained. In my opinion, of course...

Totally agree Shuffy.. Some live shows would be great, or even like you say, some fresh content every day... Maybe they're just getting things ready and dipping their toes in to see how it pans out so they can accomplish their aim, whatever that is. Whether it's covering the West and North of England and then some remains to be seen..Imo, I'd have thought they may be going all England as they're in three different counties at the moment and that for unlicensed fm is something me personally have never known.. Very intriguing!

Just turned the radio on and they gone...That lasted long...Too much blank carrier me thinks..Oh well back to absolute radio...
