If 882 stay on for another month then they officially win the blankety blank cheque book & pen from 971 who managed about 3 months of blankety blank I think.... although was a good signal that I seem to remember ... maybe it's aliens trying to communicate with us all these blankety blank dials

On their website they said that they could currently only accommodate live DJs in London. Therefore, there must be a London connection, and so they may well be planning to hit London at some point, but who knows for sure?

In 2014 & 2016 they've had rigs in Bristol, Cardiff, Manchester and somewhere near Sheffield / Leeds at different times. No idea who is running it. They say the studio is in London though...
For DJs who want to play live, please note that we are currently only accepting applications from DJs to play in the London area. We don’t mind if you live outside London and want to travel in for your show. Please complete an application form and give us a short demo or link to one of your sets.

I wonder if its connections they know in them area's that do the engineering / setting up or they actually go round the country setting them up themselves, surely this must be hard because how would know how its getting on and if there was any problems, they must have people in these area's maintaining it

I get the feeling that this is the case, just by where one of the rigs was, the freq, who was talking about it on Facebook. Can't say too much...

I just wouldn't think it would last very long with all the thieves, that's what I mean.

That might not be an issue. The thieves are in for some nasty surprises in the near future. There are some very unpleasant countermeasures that are being taken on some recent installations.

Excellent! I've got a few countermeasure ideas myself, not quite the "shit yourself" type but some interesting, non-lethal ones that will make sure the thief doesn't keep hold of the rig for very long!

haha if anyone comes up with any decent ideas to deter theivs please inbox me and i might swich a station back on again, until then im not gonna waste my money as every time i have put a rig on ive lost money within a couple of days even whilst jacked in and going off air and managing to get to the block in under 5 minutes to have lost a rig and nobody to be seen!

How are they getting them out? Using the same locking wheel nut key? Surely if they're far enough down it would be pretty tricky right?

If they're getting them out then they clearly ain't jacked in properly

they've attatched tracking devices to the rigs i guess...wakey wakey

Trackers in rigs was one method. One rig thief had a visit from the Kent Chapter of the Hells Angels because of a GPS tracker and won't be nicking any more gear.....
Another method was to add an identifying (inaudible) signal to the modulation so that it was easy to identify a stolen rig and recover it. There was one clown in the early 90s who was "recycling" stolen rigs, claiming that he'd built them himself. A couple of rigs with identifiers included showed that he was a liar and a thief, and he's someone else who won't be nicking any more gear...
