I've been experimenting with "Liquidsoap" as the streaming tool here. It sort of works....

not sure what the setup is.. but i think i may have something similar.
In the studio, we have a processing pc running breakaway and windows media encoder.
encoder provides a ip address
On the lan we have a ubiquity wifi panel
On the Tx end we have a raspberry pi with xmbc, connected to a ubiquity panel thats matched and in line with the one from the studio.
We simply ssh with a program called putty, into the pi, we have root, start vnc, then locally open a vnc program and the pi / xmbc is sitting on our desktop.. from there we setup a stream which is the ip address from windows media encoder. It saves as an icon on the xmbc radio list, click it and it plays the audio thats processed and encoded locally on the lan.
Hope this helps.
