Anyone know why they gave up? They were on almost 15 years and at one point where on 3 frequency at the same time and none of the djs seem to have joined other stations either?

Unknown wasn't Garage maybe he means London Undaground which was on there before.

there was a garage station on there for a couple of years called desire fm, i would say around the same time flava fm and temptation fm were on and i think select uk was on 89.6 at the same time

I was going to say that he might be thinking of London underground a couple of their djs did play on uknownfm later and uknownfm were only on 89.4 for the last 4 years of their 15 years broadcast history?

All I know is Origin were jamming their link and vice versa not long before Unknown left for good.

Yeah that was back when they both came off Highgate I remember all that.

Is that true why uknownfm finished? They were only on 89.4 for the final period ? And why did they use three frequency .s at the same time although the 90.6 one didn't last very long?

Nope totally wrong it didnt finish because Origin bullied them or anything to do with another station, the guy that owned it I heard had to give it all up for another reason, radio related still. Sometimes you just know when to call it a day.

They and fresh radio uk were also going to merge.

I never thought it was anther station but it did seem odd it wasn't doing badly and it went off the Internet as well?

I think unknown went off a bit after the merger disbanded, fresh radio are still going strong online though.

Yeah I do remember Fresh was on 90.6 from London around the same area as Unknown not long before Unknown also took over 90.6.

I think you will find fresh took 90.6 after because fresh started around about Dec 2009 and only lasted about 2 years and wernt very successful staying on air and I'm sure that when uknownfm used 90.6 it was only for a few months and they had a harder time with that frequency than the other 2 they were using at the time?
