My transmitter finished

Thanks to everything I've read here I managed to finish this project, it is the first time I did something and wanted to share it to give me your opinion. In principle it would be a 6W transmitter with a stereo coder, but I added things, changing others, and finally I've outgrown the box. :D
The encoder and limiter is Pira (Turkish seller) and 30W transmitter http://www.hf-electronics.nl
I also added a thermostat to control the temperature of the transistor.
Regards!!!

Looking nice, I like the custom fan trunking :D

In England, not common to have the audio processing equipment in the same box as the rig. Why not have two boxes? One with the sensitive audio gear in one box and the rig in another and a radio link between the two :smoke

Also I'd recommend try building Alberts 'small tech' limiter, much better sound than Pira and easier to setup :tup

You are right that had to be done separately in two cases but not thought hacelo. For the next project I'll keep that in mind. I do not know what the limiter Alberts ... :?:
Thanks for the tips. :tup

Nice work Mr Sietedj!
Thats what i like to see! People taking on the challenge, not just electronics but engineering too and creating something to be proud of!!
well done!!

Here it is! It's very basic, but it does give pretty good sounding results. It also costs almost nothing to make!

Nice job looks like a nice little transmitter.

Nice build, and a job well done.

Thank you, they are very friendly. Albert H. seems simple to do but I do not know how to make circuit boards, this is already complicated for me. Something welding kit only if I can but this no longer, thanks anyway. I will keep the scheme. :tup

Can you use Veroboard (stripboard)? I'll post a simple layout that you can easily make on stripboard.

Here's the Limiter on Veroboard - seen from above:

That wire link under the NE5532, you could just move it to the right of the board past the diodes. Bit weird to have it under the chip.

You're right, of course, but it's a hacked-together bit of layout from other stuff. The 0V to the 5532 also went under the chip on the board I have here. The diodes and capacitors were stacked on top of the feedback resistors, and there were a couple of sloping resistors standing up from the board to make up a couple of values that I didn't have in stock The whole board was rather smaller than depicted above!

Wow nice stripboard layout program, what one do you use Albert? I used a similar layout on my pcb design of the small tech... :tup

Also it appears the "Wizard" might be using the BA3312? Has anyone bought one of them?

Going back to SieteDJ, I would also recommend try building this...

Had good results with this aerial, certainly will give you better coverage than a dipole :tup

The NE5532 could be in a socket (or "chip holder"), in which case it wouldn't be unreasonable. :ugeek: :ugeek: :ugeek:

Thanks Albert H.
S2000, The problem is that where I live is difficult to be in a dial long time, there are many very strong stations and need an antenna that can adjust to different frequencies. I'll look anyway.
Thank you!!!

A fairly quick and easy way to make a frequency-adjustable aerial is to make (say) a ⅝-wave vertical, with groundplanes that are (roughly) ¼-wave long at 88 MHz. The radiating element needs to be made out of two pipes, with one that fits inside the other. The outer pipe needs to be ⅝-wave at 108MHz, and then you progressively extend the radiator as you go down the band. You'll need a simple C - L matching circuit at the base of the aerial to get a good match to 50Ω, and an SWR bridge to confirm the calibration of the aerial.

The other - possibly easier - option is to make a set of the cheap Slim-Jim that are described in
http://radio.xtreamlab.net/omni-aerial.html. If you make them centred on 88, 91, 94, 97, 100, 103, 106MHz, you'll get a reasonable match at any frequency on the band, since the wire Slim Jim is close to 3MHz wide if you use fat wire. I made mine out of cut-apart 10mm Twin-and-Earth cable, keeping the uninsulated earth for use in coils in PAs and aerial matchers.

I too would be interested in people's thoughts on the PCBWizard limiter you ask about.

I've tried the Turkish Pira CZ Limiter/Compressor copy but aren't too impressed, so I've often wondered about this other one..
