I'm about to build another 5W Stentor, but can't source this obsolete Varicap Diode anywhere.
Does anyone know of a suitable equivalent, please?

all vhf varicap must work with some slight capacitance try bb105g or bb119 if you could find or in any old receiver .

BA122 is a normal diode as far as I can see, it was common for people to use these and also LEDs which also act as a varicap. I would try BB405 or BB105 instead.

Hi mate.
The 5W Stentor is built, however, I intend to build another one on a Stentor PCB given by a friend.
I made a thread about a week or two ago on here which shows the Stentor Transmitter kit, and also the PCB given by a friend - but I'll post an image of the completed unit when I get back home.

Thanks for the reply mate.
I'll search around and see if I can buy myself some BB405/105 as you suggested, so thanks a lot for your recommendations.
