Greetings all

Could anybody tell me the length of the enamelled wire to make the original 1:1 transformer on the old 1w broadcast warehouse boards. I think a couple of builders use same design. I've sourced a yellow/blue ferrite ring same size and material I just need to know the length of the two pieces of wire that twist together and wind around it.
Thank you in advance

Thank you very much. Before I see your post I had done 6 turns, I'm getting just over 1watt at 105.2mhz is it ok like that or should I remove a couple of turns

Thanks rf head

If it works, why mess with it? It'll be fine.

it's a 1:4 transformer so 4 to 6 turns will work and the core is the most inportant for the max freq of your transformer
it's there only for matching between the two stages
There lots of ways to make a 1:4 transformer
