Just out of interest, why did those two stations call it a day? I remember both stations and am wondering why they shut down, yet Kool carried on going being as they're from the same estate.

I remember reading somewhere that Rush kept getting hit with raids, funds dried up and they stopped. Rush was on before Kool I believe? but Kool stayed the course.

Weekend Rush became Kik 92.3 around 95 until about 96, not sure what happened to them after.
I think Rush first came on air mid 1992, Kool very late 91.
Not sure what happened with Defection, as far as I know most of the DJ's went to other local stations.

Rush came on 2 weeks before Kool. Smurf's original intention was to call Kool Rush FM before what we know as Rush FM came on if that makes sense.

Ahh yes that rings all rings a loud bell, Smurph (Dean) actually told me that himself but it was a very long time ago.
