I used to use Amstrad ones back in the day and they were fine this one I can't get any static out of it whatsoever

It could be because it doesn't look like there is any tuning voltage being applied to the tuning pin. Has anyone got the datasheet or knows if that schematic is right or wrong?

Looks like the old original sharp cans, very common receivers in rigs from the early to late 90s.

...That Juggling Pirate diagram should be ok? Are you sure you are connecting up the correct pins?

Teckniqs, I noticed that there is a difference between the two diagrams as well.I think the first one is correct because otherwise there would be no power to that 10R resistor.

The Juggling Pirate diagrams were tried and tested before being put on paper, I would be very surprised if Mr Mike 'Vandog' H had got it wrong.

....But it's been at least 23 years since I used one of those satcans, if I still had a wired-up one I'd be more than glad to assist.

The picture was from juggling pirate incase you never saw that it shows it wired up. Big Mike never makes a mistake if he. Does he corrects it before posting so it's sure thing it will work.
