OK
Brian would like more power
He's got his new antenna fitted a 1000W Dominator
Domitaror-2.jpg
At the moment driven at 150W from a Chinese board using a MRF9180 with good results
I am thinking of a max of 600W (which should give me a theoretical ERP of 1200W) 6db increase
But I would like to have it variable power output (say 30W > 600W) driving from a 1W exciter
I have my own idea but... any suggestions

Being based in Spain I'd try to find some second hand equipment. I've seen some amps and tx's in the buy/sell app "wallapop"

I know someone who has used one of his amps a few years ago but with the more powerful 1,400w device.
....But was only but was running it around 750-1000w maximum because he was a bit concerned about the size of his heat-sink and keeping it cool, but he never had any problems with it and as far as I know he's still got it in perfect working order.

I could not find a 600W kit with a BLF174XR only a 100W & a 1000W boards
Also a reason I don't like the Dutchrfshop is even if I change to English on the page I still get

It's only Arguineguin that gives me a problem, all the areas are covered fine.

Why not just go for the maximum power your aerial can take and just go for the full 1,000watts?
....The price difference of the more powerful amps compared to the 600w version is so minimal, you might as well just maximise!

N type support max 1kW its not recommended to operate on the edge... min for 1kW need 1/2 coax - LMR600 or greter .. coax up to 10m length !
I like for coax LMR400 10m 650-800w
