I’m thinking about buying a load of TSA5511s from China.Has anybody come across fakes before or got any advice on what to look for ?

Re: TSA5511 fakes?
Would be a bit silly to buy a bulk of them before buying and trying just one of them first to see if it works.

Re: TSA5511 fakes?
I've never come across fakes, however I have had a few fragile ones which just randomly stopped working.
I would recommend using the LMX2541 instead, it contains a PLL/VCO integrated in the same chip and will eliminate quite a few components on your board. It also operates up in the GHz with the output divided down to your output frequency, I have run these in the same box as a 300W PA with no shielding and there was no hum or RF feedback.
