TuneIn Broadcasters

Out of curiosity, is there any in-active stations on here who are listed on TuneIn willing to give up their slot?
As far as i'm aware broadcasters can still login and update details with with a whole new station, so id imagine it would just be a case of passing along information / login details.
Would be willing to pay a small fee in return

I used to run London's leading multi-platinum award winning station - I can sell you the tunein slot for 2.5k.

If you use a VPN you can get around the restrictions. Dutch servers work fine for getting around it. I saw this happening eventually though, TuneIn profits from streaming ads to it's users and allows for regional licensing to be circumvented which is going to land you in hot water at some point. If you're really that dedicated though I'm sure you can find an Icecast stream for the station.

It's nothing to do with adverts. Read the article I posted.

I know it's due to licensing (hence why I mentioned regional licensing) but imho the fact that tunein is commercial is what Sony and Warner were pissed about. Worldwide radio directories are everywhere and they aren't really controversial...

I do have a tunein licence I wouldn't sell if I was offered 1million. However its easy to build yourself if you know how pythons work.iTunes works wonderfully. However internet sounds like I'm listening to AM radio poor quality. Fm whips it's arse any day.

I tried to change a station over from someone else on this forum with no success. I started with stream IP first, then after time the station name. At that point TuneIn kept stating that it was a new station and failed to comply. After months of requests I gave up.....

its a sore one mate, i really wish they'd clear up their servers of old links and get new fresh stations in, theres that many station wanting on there now they could literally make a packet from it, i know for sure id pay for a sub to get on there. complete laziness on their part

They're a bunch of happy amateurs - they don't have a professional person amongst them. It's a pity that they have the "name".

I see Unity DAB have managed to get TuneIn to either add a new station or change over a station name, perhaps it was previously Passion's old listing. Hats off to em, I tried and tried to do the same although without the weight of a DAB licence

There only the biggest at moment is because nobody has a clue how to setup up there own servers which is easy to do and I don't mean use your laptop as a server as it is absolutely crap wouldn't hold 10 folk then eventually stutter at your audience end
