As most cars nowadays have the function to display a stations logo through RDS, I was wondering if anyone knows of any (affordable) encoders out there that supports this feature? A software version would be even better...

I currently use Airomate2 for RDS, and has worked flawlessly for me for that past 2 years, but only supports text functionality.

Hmm, breakaway doesn’t have that either, but does have rds , have you considered asking the developers of the apps if they will include? If possible.

Yeah bud sent an email off yesterday, old software though so I'd be surprised if they even still work on it

airomate diffusion software has been outdated years ago maybe 10 years.I used to use a software to a freind pc version 1.30 and 2.2.Never listen that rds may transmit logo ,because a logo should be a pixel resolution,maybe DAB can ,i dunno

Email breakaway one team as well, that’s still updated. But think radium is right, you would need specialist dab software , it may even be the operating system fetching it if you have 4g on your radio and WiFi

Yeah you could be right. The thing with the logos though they come through on standard FM so thats what got me thinking, just assumed it came through RDS

RDS is an 8 character display or letters/numbers. It is not for pictures or logos. (RDS display on FM receivers)

I think (suspect) that the logos may be pre-installed in the cars when they are made and might even be country specific (i.e. if you buy a UK car, it doesn't include French logos). Also possibly some link between DAB and FM as it ought to be possible to send logos via DAB given the extra bandwidth.

Logo's are preinstalled for analog radio, sending them by RDS is impossible.

DAB is another story, you can upload an 320x240 PNG easily
