Just found them on Instagram, looks like a community legal launched last year.
Nice drone footage of them putting up their aerial

if only I had a block like that but then it would be an easy target and not be on long unless it was a community thing like them.

They were supposed to launch earlier last year, but then Covid hit. They eventually got going later in the year though.

Signal is crap around the city due to a BBC Bristol relay on 103.6. Stupid Ofcom

Yeah, it's a really bad decision. The signal is not as bad as I thought it would be in my area, but I know it's patchy along Southmead road.

Signal is fine and the content is good. Barely hear a tune I've heard before. Good on 'em. What local radio should be, promoting local talent. SWU!

Once again, OFCOM do all they can to ruin a radio project. What a stupid choice of frequency.

It's absolutely fine what are you winging about?
I'm no fan of Ofcom either but the signal is fine.
I'm over in Newport btw, a fair way from Bris..

Some parts of outer Bristol suffering with bad interference from BBC Radio Bristol 103.6 from Weston-SM.

The truly frustrating thing that is with just a bit of proper band planning, there would be room on Band II for twice as many stations, without them causing interference to each other.

Shame they played some decent stuff especially some of the late night shows.
Whose gonna put a rig up on 103.7 then?

I concur. I've listened to SWU randomly at times scanning my saved streams on VRadio & I've heard some very decent stuff being played on there occasionally. Shame they've now ceased operations.

103.7 tx is still on. Same audio as web stream.
Maybe they have found some new funding?

Rinse fm acquires Swu fm, don’t think i’ve ever seen a community station taken over before, it cost too much to run Swu fm, they kind of blamed covid aswell
