I remember hearing Rude FM back in 1996 on 104.3MHz whilst I was in London meeting relatives. I very much like their selection of drum & bass music. Superb station!

I still listen to them online up here in Glasgow, Scotland. Thanks to the internet of course.

Maybe their 886 relay is further west or just managed to find a decent TX site for it, which is getting harder and harder to do these days especially in Rude's area.

It must be because when I joined the M25 with the M1 I could only get a very weak 88.2 and certainly can't get it in Slough/Windsor even on high ground hence I had never heard rude even in the old days

The main problem with 88.2 deep out to the west is the BBC Radio 2 TX from Guildford on 88.1 (3kW)

I know what you mean but it's the same with 90.4 with bbc radio 3 on 90.3 and 92.6 with radio 4 being on 92.5 from Guilford and I was able to pick up stations on 90.4 and 92.6 but not 88.2 and frequency with the bbc would be exactly the same

I think the reason why you had those other 2 stations was because they are closer to your area.

That must be it and Saturday was the first time I ever heard rude on fm as I can't get 88.2 but it's always been easier to find stations near radio 4 is because it's easier to hear the pirates music over speach like radio 4 compared to often noisey music on radio 2

Can't be long before they go for the hat trick and start hitting London with the 104.3 as well

Anyone remember the Raw frequency before they turned into Rude?

Sounding nice on 88.2 around Fleet Street/St Paul's (Central London) earlier this evening. Rude is always a great listen. Quality DnB station.
