What's going on in the NW, it's dead?

I'm in Stockport, South Manchester and haven't heard a bean in ages.
Had a station on in Mosside called Diamond on 87.7 the other week, and a one night session on 101.5 by Mixology a few month ago but there's been nothing since.
I'm in quite a built up area here so maybe it's my reception, but does anyone know if anything is on or due on the dial?

My pal was up there during the week and he heard Irie 105.8 in Deansgate but he said it was only 10dB at best which isn't much to shout about seeing as they are only 2 miles away from there. So not surprised if you can't hear them.
Was this Diamond thing an RSL?

I'm not sure if it was RSL.
It was playing Reggae, and the DJ gave out a mobile number; I texted Him giving a radio report, told him I was an ex Pirate, and he gave me a shout out within a minute of sending the text.
He shouted "big up the Pirate's" in a rastafarian way, had a chuckle, then carried on playing Reggae with sounds effects over the music like sirens, ray guns, etc'..
They amused me and certainly sounded Pirate.

That clears that up, but they didn't sound like your usual RSL.
Would be nice to hear that Mixology come back as the set they played on the night I heard them was just right.
Sign of the times I suppose, pirate radio is dead.

I'm not at all into listening online as it completely defeats the object of good old Pirate Radio.
Hope they return back on air as soon as possible as they really tick all the boxes in terms of tunes. They boom out too.

They come from a very good site, the highest hill in London doesn't even come close.

I'll bet.
I phoned a few pals dotted all over the NW and everyone of them had no problems receiving them.
By looking on their site, it seems they're using PCS gear - it was serving them well and the audio was first class.
Hope they get back on the dial soon.

Seems things are dead everywhere these days, unless in London

If you go near to the bottom under the "Sponsors" heading, PCS Electronics and a link is there.
I'm just putting 2 + 2 together here, of course, so it's just speculation but very possible that this is the gear they used.

You could be right, I know they did use BW gear and some Italian TX stuff at one stage and paid a hefty amount for it but that's going back a good few years.

There's been some PCS gear in the mix for the last couple of years - it was all over their RDS when they were testing last summer.
