I have only just seen this Horizon 102.5 1984 was coming from crystal Palace and l used to be able to pick it up as far west as junction 13 on the M4 driving north on the A34 on the Berkshire downs no way Essex and as older listener's will remember Solar Radio nicked 102.5 10 days after Horizon was busted and carried on with a very high quality stereo signal into 1985 and after Solar closed down TKO was next on the frequency at the end of 1985 and all 3 of them could be heard in the above area by me at the time driving a Mercedes 240d with a bluapluckt car radio with just a normal arial

Horizon was on 94.4 MHz in 1984.

The effort on 102.5 was svereal years later, from Woolwich, and had nothing to do with Chris Stewart. Those clowns just nicked the name!

TKO was never on 102.5 MHz either - Louie used to be on either 90.3 (ish) or 90.5, from Crystal Palace. Some of the rigs they used were a bit drifty!

Albert you are wrong Horizon was on 102.5 from March to October 84 24/until the big raid October 84 and tko was on 102.45 in the beginning and I can prove that didn't last long before coming back in June 86 on 90.9 then dropped down 90.6 and finished up for the last year back on 102.4

I definitely remember TKO on 102.4 and in stereo. Used to listen to them from a good 25 miles to the South West (assuming they were TXing from Crystal Palace).
